Our Trip to Seattle

We went to the Pikes Place Market to walk around and check out the vendors.

Rebekah was checking out the huge fish...not sure what she thought about it!

Hanging out with the big pig out in front of the fish market

At the Seattle Art Museum there was a model that the girls got to sit and draw.

Rebekah was tired afterwards, so she just layed down

Out by pier 59, there was this cool fountain.

Raymond thought he was so cool being "eaten" by the bear who was trying to catch fish.

The girls doing a driving game in the arcade on the pier while cousin Michelle took their picture on her cell phone to send to grandma. It was so funny watching them drive! Mackenzie had such a hard time! She kept going off the road, and the steering wheel would shake her everytime!

They helped the wooden man push the wooden donkey

Puyallup Cider Squeeze

Today we went to the Puyallup Cider Squeeze. It was such a great experience!

There was a little hay bale maze that the kids loved running through!

There was a little pumpkin patch, where the kids each picked out a pumpkin.

We bought a bag of apples, and got to put them in the press and squeeze them ourselves.

Here they are with the freshly pressed apple cider! It was so good!

6 years

I've been crazy lately, so I am way behind on my blog. But here's a picture that our neighbor took the night we went out to celebrate our 6 year anniversary!
I love him more and more everyday!

Inspiration Blog

So I have been thinking a lot about my personal and religious beliefs and ways that I can strengthen what I know, learn more about things I don't and share with others my journey. In all of these thoughts, I have decided to dedicate a blog to the things that I have learned and ways that my testimony has been strengthened. I will have contributions from friends and family that are willing to share, as well as my own thoughts. I invite you to check it out, whether you are a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, or not, and I hope that you will be inspired in your own life, regardless of your personal and religious beliefs and regardless if they are the same as mine or not. Enjoy the journey!

The Puyallup Fair!

We went to the Puyallup Washington Fair today. We had so much fun and saw so many fun things. There was a guy that did these cool wood carvings with a chain saw...the girls thought they were so cool!

There were pigs with their piglets. The girls were fascinated with the pigs

They got to go on a car ride...

and on a dragon roller coaster ride.

Mackenzie, Daddy & I went on the ferris wheel. (I hate ferris wheels by the way!)

While we were on the ferris wheel, Gram took Rebekah on a little canoe ride.

Then they got to bang on some recycled material drums.

Plus after watching the Weird Al 3D Brain show, they got to touch an actual brain!

We even saw a monster truck.

It was a long day but we had so much fun!!!

Blackberry Pie!

Today we went and picked wild blackberries. Mackenzie did pretty good filling up most of her bucket...

but Rebekah only put 2 in the bucket. She ate every other one that she picked, including some that her grandma picked and put in the bag!

Daddy ate a few too :)

She's got them stuck in her teeth and all over her cheeks (which got worse on the way home as she ate more!)

When we got home, the girls helped grandma make a pie out of the berries they picked. They got to roll out the dough...

Put the top crust on after filling it with berries and trim the edges...

Then smash the edges with a fork

They each got to do every step to their own pies

After, they were very messy!

But the pies turned out great! And yummy too!

First Day of School

Mackenzie was so excited for her first day of school, and her first time riding on the school bus!

Ward Campout

We went on the Ward Campout to Ensign Ranch in Cle Elum, Washington. It was such a cool place to camp. They had so much to do. There was a lake, river, rock climbing wall, horseback riding, a big slip & slide, canoeing, and lots of other stuff.

The kids helped dad set up this little tent, that we put in the big tent.

We walked over to the river

We went out to the log to take a picture, but by the time I got out there, my toes were numb!

And by the time Robert, Joe & Rylee got out there, my toes hurt!

Daddy was the best form of transportation! (even for cousin Rylee)

There was a rope to swing on. Raymond thought that it would be fun to do it sideways.

Rebekah hanging out on the A-frame ladder. (the A-frame was where Grandma slept)

Mackenzie on the ladder. (The kids liked the loft up top the best)

Walking over to the stables for the horseback riding. We were surrounded by beautiful mountains!

Mackenzie's turn on the horse. Because the kids were too young, daddy got to lead the horse while they rode.

Rebekah was next. She was more excited than Mackenzie!

Muffin Tin Monday

Today was our first Muffin Tin Monday. The theme was People and faces, so I cooked a tortilla for the "head" and gave the kids spaghetti, chili, olive slices, mushrooms, cheese and peach halves. The kids had a blast!

The peach half became a flower for her hair :)

I finished it!

I finally finished my scarf for the winter! I love it! It's so fuzzy and soft and it will match anything because there are so many colors! Yay!

Playing Catch

The kids decided to play catch with milk jugs cut in half and a ball. They had lots of fun!
The girls both caught the ball! (I didn't catch the picture of Mackenzie's catch though)

Rebekah was sure surprised when she caught hers!
